Nambour Baptist Church

A church community devoted to God and others

The heart of NBC is that all those who call it their spiritual home, would grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus, and further reflect his nature and desires. We see Jesus calling us to love God, and to love others as ourselves.

We take the call of Jesus to share the gospel message with the world very seriously. As a result, we have members serving, or we support others serving internationally, nationally and locally.

Internationally-

We have members serving in various countries around the world, taking the good news of Jesus love to other cultures. For sensitivity reasons, we have not published the countries in which they serve.

Nationally-

We support the ministry of Carl and Gail Musch who minister to the Aboriginal communities throughout Northern Australia.

Locally-

We support The Shack ministry located in Price Street, Nambour. A ministry devoted to helping anyone in need.                           See (www.05com.com.au/theshackpdf) for more information on the Shack. The Shack is run by Pastor Dale Dowler and his wife Donna and an excellent team of volunteers from the community.

Burgers- Each Friday night from 7.00pm, we serve hamburgers to anyone wanting a free meal. This is run from the car park of the Nambour railway station. It is a great opportunity to meet local people, and build relationships with them. A real community of friendship and support has developed from 8 years of continuing care.

Coffee chaplaincy- Out of the burger ministry, we have birthed Coffee Chaplaincy, which is a weekly time spent in the Mental Health Wards of Nambour hospital where we serve not burgers, but beautiful coffee. It is a great time of building friendships with those in need, and truly caring as Jesus would have us do.

Kids Hope- In conjunction with the Nambour Lutheran Church, we have a number of mentors caring for children at the Burnside Primary School. Kids Hope, an initiative of Word Vision, is a one on one mentoring program in which one mentor meets with one child for one hour a week. The meeting take place on school grounds and is overseen by the school.

We continue to work towards establishing further mission opportunities both locally, and internationally, and will keep this page updated with new mission opportunities.

For more information on any mission opportunity, please contact the church office on 5441 1028.
